CP Pinball Winter Bash - Year End Tournament 2019
@ CP Pinball - 115 Sinclair Ave - South Roxana, Illinois
Doors Open: 9:00am
Tournament Start: 11:00am
Entry Fee: $20
Every entrant will receive a commemorative CP Pinball Winter Bash event t-shirt that is included with entry fee.
Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers.
To register, send $20 via PayPal to pinballderby@gmail.com, please include name, shirt size, and IFPA #(if you have one). If prefer to pay in cash that is also an option, please contact Tyler Becker via email(pinballderby@gmail.com) to arrange cash payment.
Registration is required to play in tournament, no walk-ins and no spectators. 100 entries will be the max allowed. Registration ends on December 18th
-FORMAT-
Qualifying: 5 rounds of two game banks, four player matchups and 3, 2, 1, 0 scoring. Each round the group of 4 players will play the two games from the selected bank. Tiered Swiss pairings and banks will allotted at random per each group. Top 16 or 24 will make finals(depending on # of players.
Finals: Consisting of 4 player matchups with the highest seed in the pairing getting to choose the bank for the group. Each game in bank will be played, entrant with lowest score on game is eliminated. For example if bank one is chosen, the 4 players play Deadpool, lowest score eliminated. The remaining 3 players play Dracula, lowest score eliminated. The remaining 2 move on to next round in finals, with new pairings and banks. When we get to final 4, the highest seed picks the bank, when gets down to final 2, the highest remaining seed(of the final 2) has the choice of picking the bank or game, if they choose a bank - the other finalist chooses one of the two games from that bank.. if they choose game, the other finalist will choose a bank and the higher seed getting to pick the game.
Each bank will consist of one pinball machine from pre-2000 and one pinball machine made after 2000. The banks will be announced prior to the tournament date.
Drinks and food you are allowed to bring, candy and soda is also available to purchase on site.
