Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: August 17, 2019
New to pinball? This matchplay tournament series is designed for beginning competitive players as a great way to start.
Play competitive games on a bank of up to 8 pinball machines spanning four decades, from 1960's electromechanical, 1970's solid state, 1980's alphanumeric, or 1990's dot matrix display titles. Game selection and seeding is random. At the Tournament Director's discretion, tournament bank and format may change depending on # of participants registered.
Standard IFPA rules apply. All extra balls will be plunged & no death-saves/bang-backs allowed. Player conduct should be exemplary as minor children are expected. Warnings (yellow card) and tournament disqualification (red card) may be awarded for poor conduct. Extra consideration for inadvertent gameplay errors may be granted for new players at the discretion of tournament director.
Tournament is limited to 32 players maximum. Expected duration is ~2 hours or less. No finals component. Single game tie-breaker game will decide any ties for top 3 players. IFPA scoring 7,5,3,1 for four player matches, 7,4,1 for three player matches.
Registration cost: $1 (to cover IFPA fees) plus coin drop. Small prizes awarded for top 3 finishers.
Registration time: 6:30 pm. Start time 7:00pm.
