Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: July 03, 2019
                            Tournament Director: Matthew Hetherington.
Tournament location: Timezone Gold Coast - Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217.
Tournament times and dates: 6pm on the first Wednesday of every month. Each month being a stand alone competition with finals on the night - no carry over of any points/results between months.
Tournament Fee: $20 per meeting ($10 hosting fee to Timezone, $10 club fee to purchase prizes etc.).
TOURNAMENT FORMAT DETAILS:
Qualifying round:
Each player to play a single game on 5 or 6 machines as available each month.
Ranked first to last on each machine (with the use of matchplay software) with these rankings adding up to an overall rank.
Top 8 based on these results to progress to finals.
Finals: round 1.
Single head to head (4 player) game, higher seed to choose (available) machine, lower seeds to choose order of play.
Group 1
Seed 1,3,5,7 from qualifying round
Group 2
Seed 2,4,6,8 from qualifying round
1st and 2nd from these groups advance to winners bracket, 3rd and 4th from these groups advance to losers bracket.
Final: round 2.
Single head to head (4 player) game forming the winners bracket, higher seed to choose (available) machine, lower seeds to choose order of play. Results determine final 1st - 4th place standings.
Single head to head (4 player) game forming the losers bracket, higher seed to choose (available) machine, lower seeds to choose order of play. Results determine 5th – 8th place standings.
In the cases when we have a low attendance at the club (less than 16 players), we will reshuffle the finals to a top 6 rather than a top 8.
