Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: December 02, 2018
Flipper Frenzy 2.0 @ Starport Arcade and Pub
December 2, 2018 @ 1:00 PM ~ 4:00PM
This is a FREE tournament. However, games may be on coin drop. The $1 IFPA endorsement fee will be covered by the event organizer.
This is also an IFPA Sanctioned Event! This event will feature head to head play where the total number of games played will vary based upon participation, games chosen, and player skill.
First, two players are drawn randomly to play on each available machine. The number of machines used will be based on the number of participants. The remaining players will be placed in a central queue. When a game is completed:
The LOSER will stay on the SAME machine, unless he/she has lost twice consecutively, in which case the winner will stay on that machine.
The player leaving the machine will move to the bottom of the queue.
The player staying on the machine will play in the same position (P1/P2) as they played in the previous game.
The player at the front of the queue will move into the game that first becomes available.
At the end of 2.5 hours, no more games may start and the player with the highest win percentage will be declared the winner. Ties are broken by fewest losses. If still a tie for the first place position, then there will be a single game tiebreaker.
To continue our stride in giving back to our community, we will also be holding a toy drive to donate to children in our community. I am currently looking for someone that could help point me in the direction to a community group that would be willing to accept these donations. If anyone has any recommendations, please contact me.
