GENERAL INFORMATION:

Tournament Director: James Todd.

Tournament location: The Basement, 2 Cohen Street Belconnen ACT 2617

Tournament times: 9am to 11pm.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT DETAILS:

Qualifying:
7 rounds of 4-player Matchplay games will be played with points being allocated using the IFPA system (7, 5, 3, 1).
Initial round will be seeded using IFPA rankings, with Slaughter pairing.
Subsequent rounds will be paired based on the Swiss method, with Balanced player order.
Top 16 players will qualify for the finals, ties will be broken based on the number of 1st and 2nd placings during qualifying.

Finals – Rounds of 16:
Groups will be assigned based on final qualifying position:
· Group 1: 1, 8, 9, 16
· Group 2: 3, 6, 11, 14
· Group 3: 4, 5, 12, 13
· Group 4: 2, 7, 10, 15

Groups will play 3 games of 4-player Matchplay across 3 machines.
Points will be tallied allocated using the IFPA system (7, 5, 3, 1).
Top 2 players from each group will progress to next round.
Ties will be broken based on the number of 1st and 2nd placings.

Finals – Rounds of 8:
Groups will be assigned based on previous round:
· G1-1, G3-1, G2-2, G4-2
· G1-2, G3-2, G2-1, G4-1

Groups will play 3 games of 4-player Matchplay across 3 machines.
Points will be tallied allocated using the IFPA system (7, 5, 3, 1).
Top 2 players from each group will progress to next round.
Ties will be broken based on the number of 1st and 2nd placings.

Finals – Rounds of 4:
Groups will play 3 games of 4-player Matchplay across 3 machines.
Points will be tallied allocated using the IFPA system (7, 5, 3, 1).
Top 2 players will progress Grand Final.
Ties will be broken based on the number of 1st and 2nd placings.
