Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: September 09, 2018
9am start
Tournament Director: Vaughan Jones
Capacity Up to 72 Players
$15
Players will be randomly grouped into groups of 4 for match play pinball and the
competition software will allocate games to groups, except the Grand Final which will
be played on the AMD “Iron Maiden”
Each round consists of 1 x 4 player game, whereby the two highest scoring players are
deemed the winners and the two lowest scoring players receive 1 strike each.
Rounds continue as the playing group is repeatedly divided regrouped and randomly
re-allocated to new groups and games after at the completion of each game. Any
player who receives three strikes is eliminated from further play in the competition. If
you are eliminated from the completion via Iron Maiden, then you will receive a special
prize TBA.
If an odd number of players arrive at the commencement of play or if the remaining
number of players after elimination at each round is not evenly divisible by 4, then one
or more 3 player games may be required in the next round. In those cases, the lowest 2
scoring players will receive a strike.
It is expected that the competition will take up to 10 rounds and 4 hours to complete,
but may run slightly shorter or longer depending on outcomes and length of game play.
In the event that 18 games are not available at the commencement of play then several
split rounds may be required initially, meaning not all competitors will be able to play
simultaneously.
When only 4 players remain, a single game to be played on Iron Maiden decides first,
2nd, 3rd and 4th position.
Prizes
Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th.
Cash Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd will be derived from 50% of all Entry Fees, less
cost of Trophies. 1st 60%, 2nd 25%, 3rd 15%, no cash prize for 4th.
Any player with no strikes after 5 rounds are completed will receive a special Prize TBA.
