------------------------
As of 1/1/2018 the IFPA charges a fee of $1.00 (One Dollar USD) per player, per tournament. This fee must be paid when you sign up for the tournament.

Entries
---------------------------
Each attempt on a game will require an entry ticket. 5 entry tickets will be included with a full price admission ($10) on qualifying days or purchased for $1 each. Entries must be used on the day they are purchased and cannot be transferred to another player.. Players may make an unlimited amount of entries during qualifying hours.. All money generated through the direct sale of entries will go into the prize pool. 10% of the prize pool will be awarded to a random winner drawn from the entry tickets submitted.

Entries are non-refundable. If a tournament game is removed from the tournament and the entries determined to be invalid all entries will be retryable on other tournament games.

Score submission guidelines:
----------------------------
1) The entry ticket must be presented to a tournament director before the game is started and the resulting score recorded before another game is started. Scores will be posted to the Neverdrains website and a link to the tournament will be posted to the event page on Facebook.
2) Games must be played and scores submitted during the time designated for that location (no early or late submissions allowed).
3) Games must be played completely only by the person the score is being submitted for (no helping or claiming the scores of others).
4) Entries will not be submitted during other tournament days and events (ie. 3 Strikes tournaments).

Tournament standings:
-----------------
Each player will receive points based on their best score relative to other players on the same machine (arena). The INDISC scoring system (100,97,95,94..) will be used to determine point values. Each player's top 5 point values will be counted towards the tournament standings.

Note: Per IFPA rules only players who submit scores for at least half of the league games will be counted in the standings Therefore players must play at least 3 different games in this tournament to be submitted in the results.

After the qualifying the top 12* players will move on to a 4-player group matchplay format finals with 3 games per round (any ties in qualifying will be resolved via one-game tiebreaker). If less than 24 players enter the tournament the number of finalists will be adjusted to 10/8/6/4 as needed to meet the IFPA 50% advancement rule. The number of games per round may also be adjusted as needed.

The top 4 players will get a first round bye. The bottom 8* will be split into two groups of 4 players for the first round.
2 players will advance from each group to the next round and will each be matched up with 2 other players for the semifinals.
2 players from both of those groups will advance to the final 4.

In each round the top seed in the group will "drive the bus". They will have choice of the 3 games that will be played for the match. They will also get choice of play order for the first game. The choice of order for subsequent games will be based on reverse finishing order.

Scoring will be 3-2-1-0 (Pinburg Style)
Advancing players will be re-seeded for groupings after each round

Other rules:
------------
This is location play, the games will not be perfect. As they say in golf, play it as it lies. Minor malfunctions are to be played through, if it happens to ruin the game in progress - sorry sh*t happens! When it does please continue to show respect for the machines as if they were your own, breaking it worse doesn't help anyone. Please don't intentionally damage the machines.

If there is a major malfunction that makes the game unplayable please report it to a tournament director. This may include a malfunction that causes unearned points to be scored, such as a switch stuck closed or repeatedly registering phantom hits. The call for whether an issue with the game makes it unplayable will be at the discretion of the tournament director(s). If a game is down for more than half the qualifying time then the game will be removed from the league standings.
