Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: August 29, 2017
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Registration and warm up 5.30 - 6.30pm.
Pingolf qualifying from 6.30 - 9.30pm.
Single elimination best of three finals for top 8 qualifiers.
There will probably be about 12 machines in use on the night.
Entry fee: $25.
QUALIFYING.
- Pingolf.
- Players will play 16 holes/games.
- For each ?hole? on each machine there will be an objective to achieve. If you reach the objective on ball one, your score is 1 for that ?hole? or if you reach this on ball 3 your score is 3 for that ?hole?. If you don?t reach the objective by the end of the game you score a bogie 4. There will be some par five 'holes'.
- As soon as a player achieves the objective they stop playing that hole to save time.
- The goal is to get the lowest score.
- If a machine is used for two holes, players MUST agree on what goal they are aiming for BEFORE starting the ?hole?.
- Players must initial/verify their playing partner(s) score sheets.
- Players can talk about a particular objective before starting a game/hole, but once the game is started prompting should be kept to a minimum.
- At the completion of the 16 ?holes? players will be ranked from lowest score through to highest score and the top 8 players will go through to a single elimination best of 3 finals. At the end of pingolf qualifying, tied scores will be broken in the standard way; player with the most holes in one, if still tied, player with the most holes in 2 etc. If still tied, a playoff will be held, the format to be decided.
- Machines will be set to no extra balls/ball savers on incl. multiball.
FINALS.
- Single elimination best of three games on different machines.
- The higher ranked qualifier for game one of each best of three has the choice of either: the machine played OR going first or second.
