Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: June 24, 2017
All proceeds will go to St Jude Charity. Trophies will be provided to the top three finishers. Play pinball to fight cancer! Doors open at 11am, tourney begins at noon. Food specials will be available throughout the day.
I. Format Details
a. Players will complete in 1 round of up to 9 innings during Qualifying. Each Pin-Base Inning will consist of a machine with a target score. The number of balls it takes to reach the target score will depend on how far that runner will advance during said inning. Should a player not reach the target score that inning they are out. Three outs will end that players game even if they have not completed all 9 innings. Innings will be recorded on an Official Baseball Score Sheet. During qualifying players will pick their own lineup of machines to determine their own personal 9 innings.
For Example, the target score for Game of Thrones is 150,000,000. The player will continue to play until the target score is reached.
150,000,000 reached on Ball 1 = Home Run + advance any runners on base. 1 run is awarded for every runner to reach home.
Target is reached on ball 2 hitter advances to 3rd Base + advance any runners on base to score.
Target is reached on ball 3 hitter advances to 2nd Base. Runners each advance 2 bases (Runner on 1st moves to 3rd, Runner on 2nd and 3rd score)
Target is reached on ball 4 hitter advances to 1st. Base runners each advance 1 base. Only a runner on 3rd will score off a single.
Target is not reached by ball 5 hitter is out.
Top 16 run leaders qualify for the playoffs and will be squared off as American League vs National League, essentially head to head play of three innings per round top seed vs lowest seed until a winner is determined.
