Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: May 26, 2017
GENERAL INFORMATION:
1. Qualifying on Friday from 3-10pm.
2. Finals on Saturday from 10.30-12.30 approx.
3. Best game qualifying with single elimination best of three finals on different machines for 50% of field up to maximum of 16 players.
4. In qualifying, players will play one game on each of 14 different machines. Players will then have the option of using up to 6 wild-card entries to use on any of the 14 machines. Players can use their wild-card entries in any way; that is, they can use all 6 on one machine, or all 6 on different machines or any combination etcetc. So the maximum games a player can play in the qualifying period is 20.
5. The scores on each machine will be ranked and players will be allocated points accordingly.
6. Only the best score on each of the 14 machines will count toward a players’ final tally.
7. Once the qualifying period starts all games played count. Games cannot be re-started and a player cannot walk away from a machine without having their score recorded. There is no warm-up during this period. Scorekeepers will be monitoring very carefully to make sure there is no abuse of this format. Any player found breaking the qualifying rules will be disqualified from the tournament.
8. Players need to plan strategy carefully. It is suggested players don’t leave it too late to decide which machines to use wild-cards on.
9. 50% of the qualifying field up to a maximum of 16 players will qualify for the finals.
10. Finals will be single elimination best of three games on different machines. The higher ranked qualifier for game one of each best of three has the choice of either: machine played OR going first or second.
