Tournament Overview
Start Date: April 29, 2017
End Date: April 30, 2017
SATURDAY NIGHT PIN-WIZARDS
* Tournament will start at 6pm or after the completion of Pingolf, whichever is latest.
* When entering the tournament (cost TBD), players will be given 2 random effect cards (used in the Knockout portion of the event)
* For the first 2 (or 3, depending on time) hours, players will play in random 4-player groups on randomly-chosen machines.
* At the end of each group's game, the group will be rewarded with a pack of 4 cards. The winner of the game will take a card first, followed by the second place finisher, third place finisher, and the last place finisher.
* After the last match play session ends, players will have a few minutes to assemble a “hand” of 5 cards from the cards that they have collected.
* Once players are ready, the Knockout portion of the event begins.
* Knockout portion is a 3-4 (time-dependent) Strike tournament in which effect cards can be used to modify various aspects of the tournament. Cards can affect how a game is played, the group/game selection process, and add challenges to games (among other effects).
* Descriptions of cards and rules on how to use them will be posted soon; be sure to check back for updates!
* The final 2 (16 or less) or 4 (17 or more) pin-wizards left standing will receive a cash prize and potentially other prizes (such as a trophy or medal).
* If there are 8 entrants with an IFPA ranking over 1000, a “B Division” award (a cash prize and potentially a trophy/medal) will be given to the final 2 (8-15) or 4 (16 or more) entrants that match the criteria above.
