Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: April 29, 2017

PINGOLF TOURNAMENT

* One ticket will cost (TBD) and will consist of one play on 9 pinball machines (referred to as “holes”).
* A set objective (score or task) will be set for each hole, and the objective is to score the set amount of points or complete the task in one game.
* Completing the task within a game will net a score of how many balls it took to complete the objective; for example, completing the objective with your first ball scores a 1, while completing the objective on your third ball scores a 3.
* If Extra Balls are enabled, they count towards the current ball in play; completing an objective with an extra ball collected on Ball 2 scores a 2. When in doubt, look at the display to see which ball is currently in play!
* Not completing the task by the end of the game scores a 4 on the game.
* If you complete the objective, do not play any more balls on the game. Any additional balls played will count as balls played towards the objective in order to keep things flowing.
* Tilt-throughs and danger-throughs will count as 1 additional stroke to the offender; the player affected by the tilt/danger-through will not have the affected ball counted as part of their score and will have 1 additional ball at the end of the game.
* Slam tilting the game is an immediate 6 for the offending player; further slam tilts will lead to disqualification from the tournament.
* Qualifying will occur from 10AM to 3PM. The last ticket can be purchased at 2PM.
* Immediately at 3PM, the lowest complete round scores will be qualifed for finals:
* If there are 16 or less entrants, finals will consist of a full single 4-player round on 9 holes. Top 2 players will receive a cash prize and potentially other prizes (such as a trophy or medal).
* If there are 17 or more entrants, finals will consist of the top 8 players playing in two groups of 4; top 2 advance. Top seed in each group picks a bank of 3 games to play, and the top two in each group advance. Finals will consist of the 4 remaining players playing on the bank not chosen in the round of 8. Top 4 players will receive a cash prize and potentially other prizes (such as a trophy or medal).
* If there are at least 8 entrants with an IFPA ranking over 1000, a “B Division” finals will be played between the Over 1000 players who did not qualify for the main finals. The top 4 players in this category will either play all 9 holes (16 or less entrants) or the bank of 3 games not picked in the first round by the main finals groups (17 or more entrants). Top 2 players will receive a cash prize and potentially other prizes (such as a trophy or medal).
