GROUP MATCH PLAY
Doors open at Noon for a 1 hour practice session
Tournament starts promptly at 1pm
$10 entry fee for returning players
FREE ENTRY if it's your first Superelectric Pinball Battle
Players are responsible for buying tokens for all games
All entry fees paid back in trophies and prize money
QUALIFYING
– 8 rounds of match play
– Players will be randomly put into groups of 4 (or 3 when necessary) and play ONE randomly selected game
– Play order will be determined by the software using the balanced setting
– Scoring on each game is 7/5/3/1 in 4 player groups
– Scoring on each game is 7/4/1 in 3 player groups
NUMBER OF QUALIFIERS
16 – 23 players – Top 8 qualify
24 – 31 players – Top 12 qualify (top 4 receive byes)
32 – 47 players – Top 16 qualify
48 – 64 players – Top 24 qualify (top 8 receive byes)
PLAYOFFS
– Groups of 4 will compete in PAPA style group elimination
– Each round will contain 3 games (EM/ Solid State / DMD)
– Top seed in each group will get to choose a predetermined bank of games
– A player may not choose the same bank two rounds in a row
– Scoring will be 4/2/1/0
– Top two from each group will advance to the next round
GAME LIST
Will contain a mix of EM, early solid state and DMD titles. The most recent game list is on the Superelectric homepage at superelectric.tv. An effort will be made to post the tournament list the week of the event on the Facebook event page each month.
