Finals Format

Overall

The Winter Series 2016 will consist of 2 rounds of qualifying followed by playoffs.

Qualifying will be in groups of 4 players with 7/5/3/1 scoring. Each qualifying round will consist of 4-8 rounds depending on how long each round takes. Play will start at 7:30 PM, and the last round will have to start before 10 PM. Games will be randomly drawn by the MatchPlay software. Player positions will be balanced. The top 8 players will qualify for playoffs. Tiebreakers will be whoever have more 1st place finishes, followed by most 2nd place finishes, etc. If still tied, a 1 match playoff will break the tie.

Playoff format will be in 2 stages. In stage 1, 2 groups of 4 playing 3 machines, where the top 2 players move on to the finals. In stage 2 (finals), the 4 players will play 3 machines. Scoring will be 4/2/1/0.

There will also be a 1 game match for 5-8th place.

Cost to enter: $10/round including playoffs.

Prize money: 30% of the prize pot + extremely elegant trophy to the winner. 2nd place 20%, then 15%, 10%, 8%, 7%, 6%, 4%.

How to enter: Signup for qualifying 6:45 PM-7:15 PM at the desk at FGW. Please bring exact change ($10). At 7:20 PM, we will explain rules and answer questions. Play will begin promptly at 7:30 PM. Players who arrive after 7:20 PM may enter the tournament in round 2.
