Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: October 29, 2016

We will have a bank of Stern Stars machines in the funtorium. Each player will get a limited number of entries on each Stars game. (2 per game if we have 4 stars. 3 per game if we have 3 or fewer Stars)

The results on each Stars machine will go in and both your games will be ranked against everyone else's Stars game to give you your point total for that Stars. The sum of all your points on Stars will be your player total which will determine who makes finals and seeding. Tiebreakers for seeding will be played on a random Stars game.

Finals:
Top 8 players will make the finals. In each group, the top seed will have choice of which Stars they would like to play, or which order they would like to play in, giving the choice of machine to the next highest-seeded player. If no player chooses which Stars they would like to play, the last seeded player must choose the Stars. They cannot pick a Stars that is being played by a higher-seeded group that round. If we get to the last round and there is only 1 Stars machine remaining, that Stars must be picked, so the top seeded player will get only their game order choice.

Each round of finals will cover every Stars game. (4 Games if we have 4 Stars. 3 games if we have 3 Stars) and will be played in 4 player groups. The top 2 players from each semi-finals group will move on to the finals, which will be played in the same way. Winner of that group becomes Stars champion. Tiebreakers are resolved on a game of Stars chosen at random.

By the way... do you have a Stern Stars pinball machine? If you bring it you will get FREE ENTRY into the tournament!
