Tournament Date: February 11, 2017
IFPA LA State Championship Pinball Tournament to be held on Sat Feb 11, 2017 in Lake Charles, LA.
Start time to be around 1:30 pm. Arrival time Noon to 1:15 pm if playing in the LA State Championship Tournament. Practice time from Noon to 1:15 pm. Contact Mike VanEtten at mlvanetten@yahoo.com or 337-962-4078 for address and directions to this private residence. Our host has agreed to let us stay and visit and play pinball in their gameroom after completion of the LA State Championship Tournament.
The top 16 ranked players from IFPA-sanctioned events and leagues held in Louisiana from throughout 2016 will compete for the chance to be crowned the 2016 IFPA LA State Pinball Champion, as well as the opportunity to go to Dallas, TX area and represent LA in the 2016-17 IFPA National Championship.
Head-to-Head Single Elimination Format. Each 2-player match is Best-of-7 games in the winners side of the bracket, except best of 3 for deciding 3rd/4th places in the consolation match. All other finishing positions will also be played out in best-of-three matches to determine 5th through 16th places.
Entry fee is $20 per player. Cash prizes: $100 for 1st place, $70 for 2nd place, $50 for 3rd place. Note that $100 from each State goes to the IFPA to cover the National Tournament prize pool.
