Tournament Overview
Start Date: September 30, 2016
End Date: October 01, 2016
PIN-KÈMON - There are 9 games, each having 6 objectives--4 score-based, 2 goal-based. Collect 'em all!
All games must be played with a fellow "trainer", who will sign off on your collection. Each game may be attempted twice, and played at any time during the weekend. Objectives (both score and goal) can only be collected within the same attempt. All scoresheets (completed or not) must be returned by Saturday at 9:30PM. Final scores are based upon the best attempt of each game and the total sum of your collection.
The top 8 players will make the A-finals. The next 8 players with IFPA ranking not 1-599 will make B-finals. Non-significant ties will be ranked based upon scoresheet submission (earlier submission = higher seed). Significant ties (i.e., qualifying) will be based on high score of [game TBA].
Semi-Finals.
Each of the 8 finalists will be put into groups of 4 (1,4,5,8 and 2,3,6,7). Each group will play 3 games. The highest rank trainer will select game/order, with 2nd highest trainer following, and so on. A Division will have game preference, with B Division choosing from the remaining games. Using original objectives, each player will build their collections. Best trainer (i.e., largest collection) from first game will select second game/order, 2nd will follow, and so on. Best trainer from combined collection of games 1 and 2 will select 3rd game/order. If a tiebreaker is needed during this round, it will be based upon original ranking. No games may be repeated by a group during this round. Circle name of who selected the game, otherwise it will apply to all 4 players for round 2.
Two lowest trainers within each grouping will then be eliminated. Should a tiebreaker be needed to determined lowest collections, tied trainers will play 1 game of [game TBA] with high score determining finish.
Finals.
Collections will be re-set to zero and the same rules will apply for the final 4 players in both A and B divisions. Trainers who chose games in the previous round may not select the same game twice. Trainers may select games that were played in the first round, if they did not select it.
IFPA Submission.
1st through 4th will be determined by the order of finish of the final round. The 4 A-Division players eliminated in the first round will be tied for 5th. B-Division players and nonqualifiers will be ranked based on the size of their collection from qualifying (larger collections will be higher ranked).
