Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: July 09, 2016

The Day the Tilt Stood Still
July 9 2016
A 100% point value IFPA sanctioned Pinball Tournament

Qualifying: Noon – 6

Open qualifying will consist of a pre-determined 12 game bank. Competitors in the tournament may Play the selected 12 game bank as many times as they like during the qualifying period of Noon until 6pm, with no limit to amount of games that can be played within the 6 hour qualifying block. All qualifiers must begin play by 5:15pm.

Of the 12 game bank, your top 8 scores will be used to calculate your qualifying score. No game can be used more than once in your Top 8.

Standard Tournament rules apply with a few additions:
1. You cannot play the same game twice in a row
2. Once you step up to a game that you have already played, your previous score on that machine is deleted.
3. Skillfully Plunge extra balls, no flipper hits allowed
4. Each player must complete a minimum of 4 games to qualify for finals
5. Players are responsible for their own coin drop for each attempt.
6. Questions regarding a ruling, machine malfunction, etc will be the final judgment of the tournament director on-site.
7. If a machine becomes inoperable during tournament qualifying, and cannot be repaired, it will be used in the scoring if there are over 10 scores submitted for it. Otherwise, a new machine will be put into the 12 game bank.

Qualifying scoring will be a total from all 8 machines with points being awarded as follows:

First: 100 pts
Second: 97 pts
Third: 95 pts
Fourth: 94 pts
Fifth: 93 points
Sixth: 92 pts
Seventh: 91pts
Eighth: 90
Ninth: 89
Tenth: 88
And so on

Finals: 7:00pm till complete

After qualifying, the players will be split into A and B Division.

A Division finals will consist of 8, 12, or 16 players, depending on total number of entrants (A division will be no more than half of total field). A Division finals will be split into seeded groups of 4, starting with lowest ranking in your group, each player will choose one game to play in a 4 game match up with 3-2-1-0 scoring (utilizing the original 12 game bank for choices). If the A Division finals consist of 16 players, the top three seeds in each grouping will pick a game for the group.

B Division finals will consist of 4 and or 3 player seeded groups playing a randomly selected three game bank of machines from original 12 game bank using 3-2-1-0 scoring.

All ties in A and B Division will be settled with a randomly selected game from the 12 game bank.
