ANNOUNCING the Strokers Pinball League! (IFPA Sanctioned)
How to enter: Show up at Strokers Billiards (390 Springbank Dr, London, ON) anytime during their normal business hours (Mon - Thur 11-12am, Fri - Sat 11-2am, Sun 12-6pm) and register at the bar.
Fees: League fees are $5 a season. You will still have to pay regular coin-drop on the pinball machines. The money collected will go to the top players. (Spots paid depends on the number of entrants).
Season Length: Each season begins on the first day of the month and ends on the last day of the month. First season begins May 1st.
Season Format: Play the five machines available at Strokers. Once you have completed a game on a machine, and if you are happy with your score, take a picture of your score with or without yourself in the photo send an email to strokerspinball@gmail.com along with your name. We will enter your score.
Standings may be viewed here: (matchplay link coming soon)
You may play as many games as you want, and enter as many scores as you want, during a season. Extra balls are turned on and you are allowed to play them.
Players will be awarded points based on how their scores rank against other players.
At the end of each season, the top 20 players will advance to the playoffs. (as long as there are more than 40 players entered)
Playoff Format: The playoffs will be played as follows:
The first round will consist of the players ranked 17-20. Players will be placed into a group of four. The highest ranked player will be able to choose which machine the group will play or whether that player would like to play 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th. The next highest ranked player will choose machine or order of his or her play.
Players play that one game, and the two players with the lowest score will be eliminated.
The next round will follow the same format, and the players ranked 15th and 16th will be added to the group.
This format will be repeated until there are four players remaining.
Once there are four players remaining, the final round will take place.
In the final round, the four remaining players will play all five of Stroker's games and will receive points based on how they place within the group. Points will be 4-2-1-0 for 1st-2nd-3rd-4th place respectively.
League Execs: Any questions/ issues/ concerns should be directed to league admins. The league execs are: Mike Dymus, Julie Dorssers and Mark Incitti.
Playoffs for the 1st season will take place on Saturday June the 4th at Noon or 1pm (depending on number of players). Then we will run a triple strike tournament for everyone at 4pm. This way if you are out of the playoffs in a hurry you can still get in on the triple strike turny.
