Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: May 01, 2016

Inspired by Pittsburgh's "Al Thomka is Not Going to Win this Pinball Tournament Pinball Tournament”.

Format is a modified Pingolf format based around beating Tommy as many times as possible. Goal scores will be set by Tommy playing the course prior to the tournament (with me reserving the right to modify these scores a bit for the sake of event quality)?, and then players will be scored in qualifying by whether or not they beat Tommy. Beating Tommy will award 10 points, and if a player fails to beat Tommy, points will be awarded based on percentage of how close he/she was (similar to IFPA PinMasters). There will also be a bonus for beating Tommy on earlier balls (10 for doing it ball 3, 15 for doing it on ball 2, and 20 for doing it on ball 1).

Finals will be normal 3-game PAPA style. Total qualifiers will be based on attendance, 24 or less players = 8 players in A division and 4 in B division, 25 - 36 players = 12 players in A division (top 4 get a first round bye) 8 in B division, 37+ players = 16 players per division. All entry fees will be payed out as cash to both divisions!
