Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: September 10, 2016
Oh-Pin is similar PAPA style because you'll play a card and that card will have a score. Like PAPA, all scores on the machines will be kept. The difference is that your card will consist of two (2 of 3) machines from a time period of your choice.
You will need to play cards in each of the three time periods (we've done decades in the past but this year we will grouping by similarities but not restricting to specific decades). Your top cards from the different decades will be added together to get your qualifying score.
Top 12 qualifiers will play in the finals. Top 4 get a first round bye. The finals will be PAPA style finals with each group of 4 playing one game from each time period and scoring 4-2-1-0.
Buy in of $10 will get you 3 cards (one card for each time period). Each additional card will cost $5.
Short version, it's PAPA style in each decade and then you sum your qualifying cards from each decade.
I think this is easier than PAPA style because for a good card you'll only need to put together two good games, but it may be tougher because you've got to master games from multiple time periods.
