Number of competition machines: 12 to 15 machines (number of the machines and models may vary from what’s currently there) – AC/DC PRO, Elvis, Metallica PREM , 24, Mustang PRO, Star Trek PRO, Getaway, Fun House, Dirty Harry, Who Dunnit, Addams Family, Doctor Who
Cost: Registration is FREE but necessary, via http://www.pinballhq.com.au/#!pinball-hq-marathon-2016/c227q, all games are “pay per play” throughout the entire event $2/1 credit, $5/3 credits

QUALIFYING TOURNAMENTS – Dates & Times
Monday, Feb 29, 11AM till late
Tuesday, Mar 1, 11AM till 7PM
Wednesday, Mar, 2 11AM till late
Thursday, Mar 3, 11AM till late
Friday, , Mar 4, 11AM till late
Saturday, Mar 5, , 11AM till late (there will be live music after 7:30 PM but machines can be played)
Sunday, March 6, 11AM to 2PM

QUALIFYING TOURNAMENTS – UNLIMITED
Each player can play unlimited number of games, the highest achieved score is recorded and the players are ranked as per their scores on each of the competition pinball machines. For example, if 100 players participate, the highest scoring player on a particular machine will earn 100 points, second highest 99 points etc. The players ranking will be determined by the total of all points gained on the 13 machines. The top 24 players will qualify to enter the final.

FINAL– Format (head to head)
6 rounds plus grand final.

FINALS
Round 1,2,3 - contains main bracket (best of 3 games) and sudden death bracket (one game)
Round 5,6,7 – are sudden death (one game only)
The finals are two player games and consist of a Main Bracket and a Sudden Death
Bracket. The highest ranked player chooses the game and the order in which they play.
Each match in the Main Bracket is best-of-3, all 3 games are played on the same machine.
The loser will drop down to the Sudden Death Bracket in the next round. The players will
play just one two player game in all Sudden Death Brackets.

GRAND FINAL
The Grand Final – 4 player game, best of 5 games (4,2,1,0)
Five 4-player games will be played on 5 different machines in the Grand Final. Each of the 4
finalists will choose one machine and the order of play. The 5th machine and the order of
play will be chosen randomly.

Additional Awards:
There will be also prizes/trophies awarded for the following;
1. The highest qualifier

2. The highest ranked rookie (a person without IFPA ranking)

3. The highest ranked female player

4. The highest ranked under 10 year old

5. The highest ranked under 15 year old

6. Additional prizes for the 2nd and 3rd place for juniors.
