Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: June 26, 2016
Players: 8-24
Price: $10 per player
Times: Sundays Once a Month. 4 pm practice and signups. Tournament starts at 5 pm sharp.
Games: Wh20, TWD, GOT, and FH (Games subject to change if needed)
Estimated time: 3 hours
Format: For Qualifying, players will be split up into random groups of 4. Each group will play one game on each of the 4 pinball machines in the tournament. Each player's score on each of the games will be compared to the rest of the players in the tournament and be awarded points for how their score ranked against everyone else. For example, if 16 people are playing and you scored the highest score on TWD, you will get 16 points. If you scored the lowest score, you will get 1 point. For A division Finals, the top 4-12 qualifying scores will be taken to the finals. During finals, groups of 4 will be made based off the player's rank after the qualifying round. If 4 players are in the finals, they will play in one group of 4 and play through the tournament games again. Scoring will be 4,3,2,1 for each game played. If 8 players are in the finals, it will be 2 groups of 4 that play through each of the games using the 4,3,2,1 scoring format. The top two players from each group will advance, and play again for the championship. If more than 8 people make the finals, there will be byes involved for the top qualifiers. If 8-15 players show up, 4 will make the finals. if 16-23 show up, 8 will make the finals. If 24 show up, 12 will make the finals. Depending on the number of players, we may or may not do a B division finals. I want this to stay around 3 hours.
