Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: March 12, 2016

A six-week series of Friday evening tournaments celebrating the history of pinball and culminating in a grand playoff event where one lucky player will walk away the new owner of an electro-mechanical pinball machine!

Format for Friday night tournaments is six games of 4-player group match play with 7-5-3-1 scoring, each game being played on a machine from a different time period: woodrails, 1960s EM, 1970s EM, pre-1985 SS, 1985-1990 SS, and DMD.

36 players will advance to series playoffs on Saturday, March 12th. Playoffs will begin with seven rounds of four-player group match play with 7-5-3-1 scoring, after which the top 16 players will advance to a single-elimination bracket with best-of-three matches. As with qualifying tournaments, participants will be required to play machines from all eras represented in the museum's collection.

The Pacific Pinball Museum is generously offering tournament participants discounted admission for this series. $10 gets players admission into the museum (normally $15) and entry into the tournament. For museum members, admission is free as always but there will be a $3 tournament entry fee. All machines at the museum are set on free play.
