Overall

Our 10th Annual Asylum IFPA-Sanctioned Pin-Golf Tournament and Fundraiser is a great way to support us and enjoy a FUN, RELAXED and EASY tournament where you can play with your friends, homies, bros, spouses, GF's, BF's, BFF's, buddies, sidekicks, amigos, enemies, etc. etc. Make your own threesomes or foursomes....

Each player plays 18 pinholes (or pinball machines) and attempts to reach par (a target score) in the fewest possible strokes (balls). If it takes you three balls to get to the target score then you get a 3 on that hole. Once you reach the target score you stop playing and write down your score on the card (provided along with a small golf pencil). The fewer balls you use to reach the target score the better, i.e. the lowest total scores for all 18-holds go to the finals.

While technically this is a TWO-DAY event, you don't have to play both days! You can just play Friday night or arrive anytime on Saturday up until 2:00 pm to play a round of Pin-Golf.

* FRIDAY, Feb 27 Qualifying Start Time: 6:30 pm (Doors open at 6 pm), last game to be started by 10:30 pm.
If you don't finish your round no worries, as rounds can be continued, or new rounds started on Saturday morning.
* SATURDAY, Feb 28 Qualifying Start Time: 10 am (9:30 am if you get the VIP package). Arrive any time after up until 2 pm which is the cutoff for starting a new card/round. If your 18-hole round is not finished by 6:00 pm you will be forced to turn in an unfinished card.

FINALS:
Begins Saturday evening at 6:30 pm. Pin-Golf format (same scoring on each machine as Qualifying, you play in groups of 3 or 4). Will take 16 if there are 32 unique players that submit a completed card. If fewer than that, exact number of players in finals will be announced based on the number of unique players from qualifying that submit a completed card.

HOW MUCH:
The Regular Joe Admission Package is $50.00, and includes:
1. An 18-Hole Pin-Golf Round,
2. The IFPA Player Fee,
3. The possibility to win one of 4 beautiful Pin-Golf trophies!

VIP Pre-Registration Pin-Golf Package is $70.00 and includes:
1. An 18-Hole Pin-Golf Round,
2. A delicious NICE GUYS VIP BOX LUNCH (Submarine sandwich, fruit, dessert, and drink),
3. Early-Bird Entry to The Asylum at 9:00 am Saturday morning to practice and warm up, and start their first round at 9:30!
4. The IFPA Player Fee,
5. The possibility to win one of 4 beautiful Pin-Golf trophies!

Additional 18-Hole Rounds (Cards): $25/each.

PIN-GOLF SCORING - HOW IT WORKS:
The worst you can do is get a maximum of 10 Pin-Strokes per Pin-Hole. However, instead of actually playing more than 5 balls if needed, we've capped the number of balls on each machine to 5, with strokes beyond 5 on each game calculated based on how close the player came to the target which varies based on the machine (see below for an example). This rule significantly speeds up your round and allow most players who arrive on Friday night, or early on Saturday to play a second (or third) round.

Example:
8,000,000 – 9,999,990 points = 6 strokes [80% of par]
6,000,000 – 7,999,990 points = 7 strokes [60% of par]
4,000,000 – 5,999,990 points = 8 strokes [40% of par]
2,000,000 – 3,999,990 points = 9 strokes [20% of par]
0 – 1,999,990 points = 10 strokes [<20% of par]
