Overall

Pinsomniacs Pinball will be hosting our first monthly open tournament! This is an IFPA Pinball Tournament at Tepeyolot Cerveceria in Jacksonville, FL. Come out and play pinball with the Pinsomniacs crew. We will be playing in a head-to-head format with Pinburgh scoring (during qualifying). This is an IFPA-sanctioned tournament.
Pinburgh scoring is as follows:
Over several rounds, players are paired against each other in two-player games. If the number of players is not divisible by two, a bye will be created. Players earn points based on their finishing position in each round (see below). At the end of qualifying, the 4 players with the most points move to the finals.
We are aiming for 10-12 Rounds of Qualifying. (Number of Qualifying Rounds are subject to change.) If time permits, we will play until 4:00 pm to increase IFPA scoring. Tie-breakers will be used as needed.
Finals will consist of 3 additional rounds, with the top 4 players, 1 game per round, and 4 players per game (match-play style). Scoring in the finals will use an IFPA format of 7/5/3/1 to reduce the chance of a tie.
All games are set on Free Play.
There will be a $30 buy-in for the tournament per player. The tournament winnings will include a $100 cash pot (to be split) and prizes.
Practice stats at 11:00 am and the tournament starts at noon. Entry fee covers practice, tournament fee and prize pot. The tournament will be limited to 20 players. Registration in person only. (Special considerations for those travelling extreme distances).
