Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: May 23, 2015
Pittsburgh Pedal and Plunge 2015
This event will operate the same as the Pedal and Plunge did last year but will start and end at the Pittsburgh Pinball League's Clubhouse (2319 Wharton St, Pittsburgh 15203). The meeting time will be 11am and the event will be underway by noon.
The entry fee is $20 and 1/2 of the entry fee will benefit Bike Pittsburgh and the difference will go towards the cash prize pool.
Games and locations are still to be determined. Each location will have at least one table selected for tournament play. We encourage pedaling a bike between the locations but not required. Any bike related prizes that are donated for the event will go only to those who pedaled at least part of the event.
At the end of qualifying the top 8 players will make finals for each tournament if there are less than 32 players. If there are 32 or more players then top 16 will qualify for finals.
Qualifying scoring will be as follows:
1st Place: 100 points
2nd Place: 90 points
3rd Place: 85 points
4th Place - on: 84 points - 0 points
Finals will be held at the Pittsburgh Pinball League's Clubhouse for both the Main Tournament and the Classics Side Tournament.
Groups will be paired according to how they were qualified:
If it is top 8, groups will be (1, 4, 7, 8) and (2, 3, 5, 6)
If it is top 16, groups will be:
(1, 8, 15, 16)
(4, 5, 9, 10)
(2, 7, 13, 14)
(3, 6, 11, 12)
Top 2 from each group advance
Until we are down to one Final Group
Scoring will be 4 points for 1st place, 2 points for 2nd place, 1 point for 3rd place and 0 points for 4th place.
You may not pick the same machine more than once per round.
