This is a 2 hr flipper frenzy pinball tournament that starts at 6 pm every Sunday at the L.A.B. We occasionally vary the format to be group matchplay, group strikes or round robin, but typically, it's a flipper frenzy that lasts for 2 hrs. If you are a first timer at the L.A.B. your entry is comped, or if you bring a friend who is new, both of your entries are comped. Otherwise, it's $5 to enter the tournament. Everyone will pay their coin drop for the length of the tournament. No more than the top half of the field will make finals (generally 4 or 8, but sometimes more). We occasionally do an amazing race finals or amazing race semi finals, but generally conduct a matchplay (full PAPA finals) on a bank of 3 games with semis and finals. At least half of finalists will be eliminated each round and top 4 finishers get paid out.
