Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: November 14, 2015
Charity Pingolf Tournament. Price per person will be $25 cash at the door and 100% of the proceeds, once again, will be going to Loaves and Fishes. We will have trophies for 1st through 3rd place.
Details to follow; but here are some ideas I'm kicking around.
Practice and registration from 8am until noon. Tournament will start at 1pm. Lunch will be provided. IFPA points awarded!
18 holes (games) with 4 players per hole. Shotgun start. You can play any open hole, no need to play the course in order. I will have an alternate game for each 9 holes in case there are any game issues.
All games will be on 5 balls per game. All strokes will be based on target scores with 80%, 60%, 40%, 20%, 0% basis for strokes 6 to 10.
I am implementing an 'Out of Bounds' rule to add a one stroke penalty to any player that doesn't meet a minimum score on ball 1 only. Therefore the maximum strokes per hole is 11.
Top 8 players, after the first round of 18 holes, will play in the finals. This will be a different 9 hole round.
Games will be set for tournament play. I haven't decided to eliminate extra balls at this time.
As this tournament evolves, I will amend the rules as needed.
I will have a final list of games about 30 days prior to the start of the tournament. I will also make available my address (privately) to anyone that needs it at that time as well.
