Paul Madison wins the Blainbrook Bowl Pre-IFPA Tournament!

As more pinball players continued to arrive from around the world for the IFPA World Pinball Championship, the field for the next Pre-IFPA Tournament grew to over 60 players. Similar to Pinball Plus the night before, a bank of 5 machines were used to qualify for that night’s finals: Royal Flush, Jacks to Open, Bobby Orr Power Play, as well as Spiderman and Big Buck Hunter, both by Stern Pinball. Once again, Sean Grant captured Top Qualifier to automatically advance to the round of 8. The next 16 qualified players competed to be one of 7 who would again join Sean in the round of 8. This time it looked like Sean might make the finals thanks to a great score on Big Buck Hunter, well over 20 million… but along came Paul Madison, going in with under 5 million, to score a RAM Special for 18 million, eclipsing Sean and making it to the final rounds himself!  When all was said and done, Paul was able to use that momentum to take it to the finish and win the tournament! 2nd place went to our hard working Pre-IFPA host, Derek Fugate, 3rd again to Nicola Pierobon, and 4th to Mads Kristensen. A Classics Tournament was also held that day, with Pinball Plus winner Eden Stamm coming out on top. Full results can be found HERE.
