IFPA7 World Pinball Championship – Final Qualifiers list

ifpa7.JPGWe are pleased to announce the qualifiers for the IFPA7 World Pinball Championship, to be held May 21-23 in Cokato, Minnesota. 13 countries will be represented at the tournament. Congratulations to those that made the cut . . . it was no easy feat this year.

A reminder that 3 additional spots are available to anyone that may be interested through the IFPA Satellite Tournament process and IFPA League Exemption:

2010 Midwest Gaming Classic Satellite Qualification (March 27-28, 2010 in Milwaukee, WI)
The 2010 Midwest Gaming Classic will serve as a satellite event for players not yet qualified for IFPA 7. One spot will be up for grabs in the A-Division tournament at the 2010 MGC. This satellite event will be open for any player ranked in the World Pinball Player Rankings as of the end of 2009, but did not qualify for IFPA 7 through the automatic bid process. Details on the MGC can be found at http://www.midwestgamingclassic.com/.

2010 Flip-Expo Satellite Qualification (March 20-21, 2010 in Mers Les Bains, France)
The 2010 Flip-Expo will serve as a satellite event for players not yet qualified for IFPA 7. One spot will be up for grabs in the tournament at the 2010 Flip-Expo. This satellite event will be open for any player ranked in the World Pinball Player Rankings as of the end of 2009, but did not qualify for IFPA 7 through the automatic bid process. 2010 IFPA League Champion Exemption (March 27-28, 2010 in Milwaukee, WI)
The 2010 Midwest Gaming Classic will serve as a satellite event for players not yet qualified for IFPA 7. Besides the A-Division Open tournament, there will be another spot reserved for the highest finisher that was also a representative from an IFPA endorsed league. This satellite event will be open for any player ranked in the World Pinball Player Rankings as of the end of 2009, sent as a representative of an IFPA endorse league to the MGC to compete that has not yet qualified for IFPA 7 through the automatic bid process. For more details contact your league President or the IFPA directly.

IFPA to host Big Buck Hunter Pro Pinball Tournament at Stern Launch Party!

BBH_Launch_Party_Tourney.JPGTo celebrate the release of Big Buck Hunter Pro Pinball, Stern is pleased to announce that they are hosting a launch party in the Skybar at Gameworks Schaumburg, February 19th from 6pm-9pm.

Stern will be bringing in 3 brand new BBHP machines, the IFPA staff will be there to run a couple of different tournaments with cash and other prizes available. Food, drink and liquor will be available for
purchase.

This party is invitation only, so please contact the IFPA directly if you are interested in attending. We will pass the list of those interested directly to Stern who will send the invitation out to you.

IFPA 7 World Pinball Championship – Registration is now OPEN!

For more details check it out here: http://www.pinballrankings.com/ifpa7.phpThe initial invite list is for the top 150 players as of 1/1/2010. Based on the interest of the top 150, we may extend the invite list additional spots so please monitor the registration page at your leisure. Should you be interested, please send payment to the IFPA as your way of committing to attending the tournament. Should you not be interested, it is equally important that we know, so please send an email to the IFPA stating you will not be available to participate.
