Registration for this tournament opens on October 08, 2022
Tournament Date: November 05, 2022
Doors open at 10:30am. Tournament starts at noon.
The inaugural Avocado Cup is here! Participants will play 8 rounds of group match play with 1st place receiving 3 points, 2nd place receiving 2 points, 3rd place receiving 1 point and 4th place receiving 0 points, in each round. All players will play at least 8 rounds. After 8 rounds, the top 8 players with the most points will advance to the finals. Any ties that will determine whether or not a player makes the playoffs will be resolved through a single game tiebreaker. Other tiebreakers for seeding will be resolved automatically.
This tournament is held at my home, nestled among the avocado trees on the outskirts of San Diego. As with all of my tournaments, they are equal parts tournament and party among pinball friends. Participants are encouraged (but certainly not obligated) to bring potluck style food or drink.
Tournament capacity is capped at 50 players. A link to register will be posted to the Facebook event page on October 8th. .
Only registered attendees will receive the location information for the event, given that this is at a private residence. If you have any questions or concerns, please DM me.
????Tournament fee: $20.
Games will be set to Free Play.
???? IFPA fee: $1 per player will go to the IFPA so that all players are eligible for World Pinball Player Ranking points.
???? Prizes: Trophies and cash prizes. 1st place - 45%, 2nd place - 30%, 3rd place - 15%, 4th place - 10% (Depending on number of players, this may be expanded.
????ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: This tournament is in a private home. All guests will be required to sign a standard liability waiver, unless they already have done so for the June event.
