Tournament Summary:

The tournament will consist of 2 Qualifying Rounds of group match play, where the top 8 players from the Qualifying Rounds will move onto a head-to-head, best-of-3 or 5 (depending on time) playoff consisting of elimination group match play to determine the winner.

Tournament starts at 1 PM, sign up for the tournament ends at 12:45 PM. Players showing up late will not be allowed to enter the tournament unless previous arrangements have been made with the Tournament Director.

Tournament Details:

Qualifying Rounds: (Subject to modification in order to accommodate number of players or number of available machines)
For Round 1, players will be randomly placed into 4 player groups, play 3 games with their group, and receive points based on their finish position in each of their 3 games.

For Round 2, players will be placed into new groups based on the “Swiss Format” (players with a similar number of points will be grouped together), play 3 games with their group, and receive points based on their finish position in each of their 3 games.

-Game Choice: Games will be randomly chosen at the start of the round.
-Player Order Choice: Randomized for Game 1 and reverse finishing order on the previous game (4th through 1st place) for Games 2 and 3.
-Points awarded per game: 7/5/3/1 for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Place.


Playoff Round:
-Based on points earned in the 2 Qualifying Rounds, the top 8 players will be placed into a head-to-head, single elimination bracket where the 1st seed will play the 8th seed, 4th vs 5th, 2nd vs 7th, and 3rd vs 6th. These matches will be best-of-3 or 5 (depending on how much time the qualifying rounds take). The winner of each match moves on, the loser is eliminated from the tournament.

-Game or Player Order Choice: Based on top seed for Game 1 and reverse finishing order on the previous game for the remaining games of the match.
