Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: December 08, 2019
Did you not get enough action at Romp In The Swamp VII? Are you looking to kick your Sunday off with bottomless mimosaaasss and pinball fun? Are you looking for one last shot at making it into the top 16 in the Louisiana IFPA rankings? The Not Another Pinball Tournament, Pinball Tournament is the place for you!
This event is to held Sunday, December 8th at the Hilliard house. You may show up as early as noon or as late as 1pm to get started. The entry fee is $1. No warm up games. You must register in advance for this event by contacting the tournament director or the Louisiana IFPA rep Mike VanEtten and expressly letting them know you are attending. You must register at least 24 hours in advance of the start date. The event is limited to 16 people, and it is expected to fill up so register quickly. You may show up as early as noon or as late as 1pm to start getting your games in; if you show up after 1pm, you will not be allowed to start playing absent an incredibly good reason for the delinquent arrival.
You will be allowed play two games on each of five machines. Each game will be entered into the matchplay software best game format on a 95% modified decay scoring format. The top four players will then make the playoffs. They will play one game selected by the top qualifier and play a four player game, the last place person will drop off and then a new game will be selected for a three player game, the last place on that game will drop off, then a final new game will be played to determine first and second.
A couple of comments: These games are all super nice games (they are mostly Stern LE or Premium model games), but they are not played all that frequently. Further, there is no tech that services these machines. There may be some tech issues on some of the machines, if that is going to bother you do not come to this tournament. There may also be some mimosas drinking at this event, this event is not necessarily appropriate for children due to the expected mimosas; if that is likely to bother you, do not come to this event. Convicted felons or persons currently charged with a felony but awaiting trial will not be allowed on the premises. Further, this event is at a residence and parking is at a premium. Do not park in a manner that might perturb the neighbors. Try and park in two rows in the driveway. Try and come in a small car if you have one and not in a giant extended cab truck if possible. Try and car pool to reduce the total number of vehicles.
