Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: April 13, 2019

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Tournament Director: Ray Gillett.

Tournament location: Federal Hotel, 160 The Terrace, Port Pirie, SA 5540.

Tournament Date/s: Saturday 13 April 2019.

Tournament times: 8pm-11pm.

Tournament fee: $40.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT DETAILS:

Flip Frenzy.

a) When the tournament starts each machine is randomly assigned 2 players. The remaining players are placed in a queue.

b) When a match is completed:

- the players circle the winner on the score card and the loser stays on
the machine, unless he/she has lost twice consecutively, in which case
the winner stays on.

- the person leaving the machine hands the score card to the scorer at
the computer. That person then heads to the rear of the queue. When
waiting in the queue, the player grabs a score card and fills in their
name in player 2 position so it is ready to go.

- THE PLAYER STAYING ON THE MACHINE PLAYS IN POSITION 1.

- the player at the front of the queue moves up to play the player staying on the machine.

- at the end of 3 hours no more games may start. Whoever wins the most
games in that time is declared the winner. Ties will be broken by the
fewest losses and if still tied, by a single game playoff on a machine
chosen at random. Ties will only be broken for first, second and third
places.
c) All matches are 3 ball games. Conceding is allowed if 50% of the match is completed (3balls), but players must plunge through their remaining balls and complete their game.
d) Players will be called from the front of the queue, if they do not present themselves after 20 seconds then they are moved to the back of the queue.
