Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: September 07, 2018
6pm start
Tournament Director: Vaughan Jones
Capacity Up to 72 Players
9 holes!
Players will be randomly grouped into groups of 4 by match play software.
Playing order will be decided prior to the initial game between the pingolfers who will
putt a golf ball on our mini golf hole. Closest to the hole goes first! The players will
share the playing order evenly throughout the qualifying part of the tournament.
9 groups will commence playing across the course at 6PM - new teams will be allowed
to “tee off” as each team finishes, expected 90 minutes to play through the 9 holes.
4 player games are loaded for each “hole”.
Players will attempt to achieve the preset Pingolf targets in as few strokes (balls) as
possible.
Extra balls will be turned off where possible however any earned will count as a part of
the same stroke... in other words a free hit with no penalty.
Players play in groups of 4 but score as individuals, this is not a team scoring event.
Any balls remaining in a players game after the target has been achieved should be
plunged out in the interest of keeping the competition moving.
If all balls are played and the target is not achieved a 1 stroke penalty is applied
Finals
The 8 lowest individual scores at the end of the comp will go through to the finals
which will be played at the conclusion of the qualifying period.
Any ties will be broken with a head to head shootout on AMD Iron Maiden, played as a
normal head to head game of pinball - highest score wins.
Finals will consist of each qualifying player replaying the last 3 holes in order (in 2
groups of 4) ending on Iron Maiden. The top 4 finalists will compete against each other
in the first group for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th positions, with the second group of finalists
competing against each other for the 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th position in the second group.
At the end of the finals any ties will be broken with a head to head shootout on Iron
Maiden, played as a normal head to head game of pinball - highest score wins.
