Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: October 28, 2017

Tournament times: Qualifying 10am-6pm, Finals from 7pm.
FORMAT:
Qualifying will be open from 10am-6pm and will be conducted under 'Herb' style format.
All players will play each of the 10 machines twice (20 games in total).
Top 16 players will advance to the finals. Ties for any places in the Top 16 will be broken with a 1 game playoff on a machine chosen at random
Qualifying scores will be entered on to Matchplay, with a link to be provided at a later date.
Finals are expected to start around 7pm
All finals matches will be a best-of-5 match, with the highest available seed playing the lowest available seed to be paired up, with the next highest and next lowest paired up, and so on until all players have been allocated a match.
Highest seed of the match will be able to choose the machine they wish to play for their best-of-5 series, while the other player chooses the play order for the first game. Play order will alternate after each game.
The loser of each best-of-5 match will be eliminated from the competition, until there is only one person remaining, who will be declared the 2017 QLD Pinball Open champion.
