Flipper Freaks 2019 Season 1

Format: 4-Strike Knockout, possibly cut short at the end

The 10:30 rule: Any Knockout round that starts after 10:30 pm will automatically become the last round of the night, to ensure we don't finish too late, no matter what the turnout is. At the end of that last round, anyone still alive with no strikes will share the win, then those with 1 strike taken will share the next positions, then those with 2, then 3 strikes taken. Number of byes will not be considered. (Note that this doesn't mean the tournament ends by 10:30! A round could start at 10:25, and then the last round could start at 10:50, and that round could finish at 11:15, for example.)

League Standings: League Points for an event with N players will go from N for the winner, down to 1 point for last place, except that tied players share their points. Also 1st place gets a bonus 15 points, 2nd place gets 10, and 3rd gets 5. Bonus points will also be shared if there are ties among the top positions. The points will be added together for both events of the season to get the League Standings. You only need to play once to be included in the IFPA submission. No Mulligan.


Doors at 6:00, tournament start at 7:00, doors close between 11:00 and midnight.

Free Play on all machines allowed until 7:00, then more Free Play as machines become available.
Anyone can access tournament progress on their smartphone to help follow along.
I will run the tournament on all available, suitable machines. If there is a major issue with a machine, we can just take it out of the rotation and redraw the machine for that match.
Extra Balls: play them on older machines, they will be turned off on newer machines
