Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: September 01, 2018

-52 player max, 4-player groups (or 3 with odd numbers of players), 5 rounds, 7/5/3/1 scoring. Player Order: Balanced…… Opponents: Balanced……. Machine selection: Balanced

-Registration/practice @ 1100 am, Starts @ 1200 pm. $15 entry with games set on free-play.

-Top 12 players qualify for playoffs. Field is divided by 2 with next 8 players at the cut-off qualifying for the “break-out” division.

-Ties for placing will be broken in this order: 1) # of 1st place finishes, 2) # of 2nd place finishes, 3) a one-ball tie breaker.

-Playoffs: Round: 1 1-12 qualifies. 1-4 get a bye. Group 1: 5/8/9/12 play. Group 2: 6/7/10/11 play. 2 players from each group advance.

Round 2: The remaining 8 play down to 4. Group 1: With 1/4/(highest and lowest remaining seed from round 1). Group 2: 2/3/ ( 2 middle seeds remaining from round 1 )

Round 3: Finals: The remaining 4 players play to determine winner.

-Each playoff round will consist of 3 games with PAPA scoring 4/2/1/0. Highest 2 scores advance per group, per round. ALL games in both the Open and Breakout divisions will be determined at random.

-Game selection: Balanced …… Player order: Balanced ……Opponents: Determined by round robin standings.

- If any player leaves for any reason before or during playoffs, their playoff spot will NOT be filled. No point in even leaving this to chance with abuse. So if that absence makes a 4-player group into a 3-player group during playoffs, so be it, still 2 players will advance.
