Continuing the 2023 DFW Spring/Summer League (Event 6), KIMBALLS PINBALLS (https://www.kimballspinballs.com/) will share their amazing pinball collection in FORT WORTH, TEXAS. KIMBALLS PINBALLS is the winner of countless awards for their creations at the Texas Pinball Festival and other major pinball shows.
This is the first time we've had a tournament at their location since November of 2019 and we are so thrilled to be invited back!
MULTIPLE EVENTS GOING ON.
Play in as much or as little as you like.
Its a PARTY first, with a little pinball mixed in!
We provide a variety of choices, so everyone can do what they are comfortable with...
We TRULY want this to be about community! All skill levels welcome!! It's about having fun, eating, socializing, and playing pinball!! We had players as young as 3 years old & as old as 81 in our leagues. All we ask is that you respect each other, the host's home, and the machines! So, come Join us!
MULTIPLE WAYS TO PLAY:
WAYS TO PLAY 1 AND 2:
----- DFW 2023 PINBALL LEAGUE SPRING/SUMMER EVENT 6 (way to play 1) - This is a best score format in which players can play at their own pace. Further info is covered on the league page on the IFPA Pinball League Calendar.
DFW Pinball League scoring rules are published on the league's website (web address is at the end of this description).
WE WILL ALSO HAVE DOOR PRIZES FOR LEAGUE PARTICIPANTS SO RECORD YOUR SCORES TO BE ELIGIBLE!
----- The DFW Pinball Women's Pinball League (way to play 2) runs a concurrent event structured similarly to this one - see their Facebook page for specific rules: https://www.facebook.com/dfwwomenspinballleague/
WAY TO PLAY 3:
----- THE IFPA TOURNAMENT -
Qualifying is "group matchplay style". This means you'll be playing in four player groups on multiple machines.
Playoffs/Finals will LIKELY be Group Elimination/PAPA Style, which is similar to the above, but with lower performing players being eliminated as we go forward (until there's a winner).
THERE WILL BE PLAYOFFS FOR BOTH A AND B DIVISIONS SO ALL SKILL LEVELS CAN PLAY AND WIN!
We have PRIZES for the B Division players and ...
... ALSO random door prizes for ANYONE in the tournament regardless of standings/rankings!
The B Division is restricted based on rules published on the league website -- many of the top players are excluded from the B Division so that ANYONE CAN WIN!
WAY TO PLAY 4:
Based on the final standings from the tournament's qualifying (from way to play 3), we also hold a:
----- "KIDZ FINAL"
This is ONE GAME played by kids aged 16 and under for a TOY BLASTER that has been provided by Jared Guynes' www.blasterbattle.com !!!
To insure that its fair and everyone can win, a child is EXCLUDED from the KIDZ FINAL for next TWO events after they WIN, thus giving other kids a chance to win too.
The KIDZ Final is unsanctioned/exclusive from the tournament playoffs.
That means kids can play in BOTH if they want!
FOOD: Food, Drink, BYOB & POTLUCK are welcome but won’t be provided, if someone wants to coordinate this for you/us/the Tournament that would be great ... So everyone BRING SOMETHING FOR POTLUCK PLEASE.
SPONSORS who provide some of the prizes and more - please support them AND let them know that you heard about them from the DFW Pinball League:
