Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: January 29, 2022
This tournament features 9 holes of Pin-Golf with one or two rounds of multi-matchplay playoffs depending on the number of players. The playoffs will use Pin-Golf scoring.
Sign-ups at 7pm, start time at 7:30pm sharp. Buy-in is $5. All entry fees will be paid out as prizes. In addition, Waterland will splash the pot to make it worth at least $75! Waterland will pay the IFPA fees as well.
16 or more players -> 8 make the playoffs, with 2 rounds of playoffs
8 - 15 players -> 4 make the playoffs, with 1 round of playoffs
less than 8 players -> no playoffs.
The Pin-Golf format sets a target score on each pinball machine. Each machine is set to 5-ball play. Your score is the number of balls (1 - 5) that it takes to reach the target score. If you do not reach the target score, your score will be between 6 and 10 depending upon how close you come to the target score. Each machine will display an associated sheet of paper showing the range of scores corresponding to each Pin-Golf score (6 - 10). Your score for each machine will range from 1 to 10. The goal is to play all 9 machines with the lowest cumulative Pin-Golf score.
The top 4 or 8 will make the playoffs. Qualification ties will be broken by the player with the most hole-in-ones (reached the target score in one ball), and then by the most 2s, etc.
