The DFW Pinball League returns with the summer 2021 season!!
This league will have three events, all in collector's location, as follows:
1st Qualifier - Nash Paradise's Home at 1248 Bancroft Rd, Keller TX 76248
Sunday August 1, 2021 at 1 PM -- Registration and practice time opens at 12:30
2nd Qualifier - Stephen & Stacy Wylie's Home at 3100 Irvine Drive, Carrollton, TX 75007
Saturday August 28, 2021 at Noon
Finals - Dallas Makerspace, Hosted by the Vector Makerspace Pinball Group, 1825 Monetary Ln #102, Carrollton, TX 75006
Saturday September 4 , 2021 at 1 PM
EACH event will have a separate, standalone IFPA tournament as well as league play. This is even true for the finals. So even if you don't qualify for finals, you can still come and play in the standalone tournament!
So for those looking for WPPR points, they are available at each event and then also for the entire league as well!
Look for the standalone tournaments to be published on the IFPA calendar at least 30 days before each event.
League play will consist of best score format qualifying at each of the two qualifying events.
A player may attend either qualifier and still be eligible for finals because the 2 qualifiers will be structured identically so completing either qualifier will satisfy the IFPA participation in 50% to qualify rule.
That said, if you participate in BOTH qualifiers, you do have a better chance on making the finals!!
For specific scoring guidelines for the league qualifiers, please see the "League Structure" section of the DFW Pinball League Website.
--- The league finals will be a 2 strikes tournament with the LESSER of 50% of league participants (rounded down if there is an odd number of players) OR 16 players accepted.
Please be aware that this is the top 16 that show up for finals - if anyone in the top 16 fail to appear, then their spot will be given to the next highest seed present at the start of the finals.
Finals start promptly on time - any participant who has NOT checked in 5 minutes prior to the start of finals WILL lose their spot.
Any players that call, text, email, or facebook me indicating that they are running late WILL have their spots held -- they have checked in with me -- however make 100% certain that I reply to your text! If I don't reply, then I haven't gotten it. These messages ONLY count if I receive and reply to them. I do make my contact info readily available to league participants - I am easy to find.
