Tournament Overview
Tournament Date: April 27, 2019
Overview / Qualifying:
Players will be placed in groups of 3 or 4 and will play 9 holes (games). Each hole will consist of an objective. The goal is to complete the objective utilizing the least amount of balls possible. Your goal is to complete the 9 holes with the lowest score possible. Example: 9 would be the lowest with 45 being the highest.
Completing Objective:
1st ball = 1
2nd ball = 2
3rd ball = 3
Can’t complete = 5
It is important to note that during qualifying your competing against ALL participants and not just the ones in your group to qualify for Finals.
Players advancing to Finals:
17-23 Participants - 8 Players
24-31 Participants - 12 Players (Top 4 will have byes)
32+ Participants - 16 Players
Ties:
1) In case of a tie for for entry into finals) a random single-game tiebreaker will be played immediately after qualifying.
2) Ties for seeding will be broken by using the IFPA head-to-head record between the players that are tied. If there’s still a tie we'll use WPPR rank.
Finals:
Groups will be created and seeded based on qualifying and in an effort to reduce the length of the event each group will play two games (instead of three). The two participants with the lowest scores will move on while the other two players will be eliminated. For ties please see 1) under Ties . The higher seed will have choice of game or position starting with the highest seed.
$10 to Enter + quarters to play the machines.
(1st timers to play in an IFPA - International Flipper Pinball Association Event $5 to Enter)
1st Place = 40% of the Pot
2nd Place = 30% of the Pot
3rd Place = 20% of the Pot
4th Place = 10% of the Pot
Consolation Champ - Highest finisher ranked 1700 or less - $10
