Tournament Overview

Tournament Date: April 23, 2016

There are altogether five (5) qualification machines, each player plays their qualifying games in their own time between 12 pm and 5 pm. A new qualification game cannot be started after 5 pm.

A player has ten (10) qualification tries to use, divided between five (5) machines. A maximum of three (3) tries per machine.

Once all qualification tries have been played, each player is given points by how their qualification try is ranked when compared to other players.

The player scoring the highest per machine gets as many points as there are players in the qualification round. The amount of points diminishes, so that the player with the lowest score per machine gets only one point. These points are then tallied, which gives the player their final qualification score.

Top 16 move on to the play-offs round. Depending on the amount of players, the play-offs may be played with the top 12 or top 8, but nonetheless so that a maximum of 50% of the players moves on to the next round.

If there are players with the same amount of points qualifying to the next round, the players draw a random machine, with which they play a tiebreaker. The equal points of those, who did not qualify, are valid and share their positions in the results.

The play-offs are played as two-player matches with the player winning best of five moving onwards. The bronze match is a best of three and the final a best of five match.
