Consisting of 18 pingolf holes in 1 round.
1 Qualifying round = 18 games
1 Finals Round = Max. 9 games
Details / Rules
1. Qualifying Rounds
* Players will complete in 1 complete Pin-golf round
* There will be 6 Pin-golf machines, with each machine having 3 Pin-Holes.
* The number of balls it takes for the player to reach that target/achievement score will represent the number of Pin-Strokes
earned for that hole. (1st ball = Hole in 1, 2nd ball = 2, 3rd ball = 3, etc)
* Should a player not reach the target score within the allotted balls (par), then
the par +1 pin stroke will be awarded for that hole.(3 balls = 4 strokes, 5 balls = 6 strokes)
* Players can play the machines in any order, but must play the Pin-holes on a particular machine in order.
* Pin-golf games must be completed by no later than 6pm Saturday 13th.
2. Finals Round
* Open to the top 8 players, to be split into 2 groups of 4 as follows: 1, 2, 7, 8 ... 3, 4, 5, 6
* Each group to play 3 games, with the scores awarded points from 4 down to 1 each game.
* Highest seed choses their play order for first game, with each other player getting their choice thereafter.
* Lowest score in each game then gets first choice in next game and so on.
* Top 2 players in each group advance to final four.
* Ties for placings will be determined by a single game playoff.
* Final four will play a further 3 games using the same format above. Ties will again be broken by a single game playoff.
3. Machines Chosen
Tournament machines will consist of 9 games, 2 Pin-Holes on each machine. (18 Pin-Holes total)
4. Order of Play
Players can play their Pin-Holes at their own leisure, and must have at least one other player verify that they have achieved the goal,
otherwise they may risk disqualification. Pin-Holes on a particular machine must be played lowest hole first.
5. Extra Balls
All attempts will be made for extra balls to be disabled for all machines.
Should a player earn an extra ball, they will play it as part of the same Pin-Stroke on that particular Pin-Hole.
Rulings and Malfunctions
All rulings and malfunctions will be based on the rules for the IFPA World Pinball Championship.
