Julio Vicario Soriano wins 2011 Torneo Espanol de Pinball!

The older of the spanish pinball tournaments, "Torneo Espanol de Pinball" (TEP), reached it's 11th edition. 46 spanish players plus 2 international competitors reunited themselves in the village of Arnedo in La Rioja (Spain) the weekend of 20th & 21st of August, to make their way in two categories, Classic and Modern pins. Qualification rounds on both categories were disputed through Saturday and 16 players on each category advanced to the playoffs.

 

On Sunday morning playoffs were played and four players on each category made their way to the finals. In the classics final on a Sonic's "Pole Position", [player]Angel Martinez[/player] won the competition, with [player]David Perez[/player] in 2nd place, [player]Jesus Manuel[/player] Rey obtained the 3rd place and [player]Pablo R. Fugarolas[/player] ended 4th, while the Modern category saw the victory on a Stern’s “Grand Prix” of [player]Julio Vicario[/player], followed by [player]Miguel Angel Beltran[/player], [player]Rafael Benet[/player] and [player]Carlos Vicente[/player].
