Pinball Returns to Twin Galaxies with Worldwide Walking Dead Tournament!

twin-galaxies-logoTwin Galaxies, in close partnership with the International Flipper Pinball Association (IFPA) has jointly decided to open the all-new adjudication process to the pinball community as an exciting experiment to see if competitive leaderboard pinball can once again take place successfully on the Twin Galaxies scoreboards!

The inaugural pinball game is The Walking Dead from Stern Pinball (http://www.sternpinball.com/games/the-walking-dead/pro) and there is  a special BOUNTY reward for the player who is able to hold on to the #1 rank spot!!!

Whomever is in the #1 rank position by SCS Day (February 13th, 2016, 6pm CST) will receive $100 cash, a custom TWD trophy, and signed TWD translite.

“We are very excited about this opportunity to work with Twin Galaxies and bring more options into the competitive pinball world,” said Josh Sharpe, President of the IFPA, “we hope that the Twin Galaxies leaderboards can be a fun way to have year round competition in-between our official IFPA events!”

“It is an honor to be working with Josh Sharpe and the Pinball community. It is our fondest wish to be able to bring additional value and recognition to pinball players everywhere and help include them into the overall worldwide perception electronic gaming community that Twin Galaxies fiercely supports.”

no results submitted yet? come on peeps! 😉

sounds fun now if only I had a TWD at home 🙂

    Great idea, I love it!

If we are submitting a score, must we film the verification in the same single shot as the score, and do we have to film the entire game as well as the end score?

I might point out that verification of the slope is best done by filming the level that is built into the shooter lane on the game, since a software level on a phone is easily recalibrated to give any result you want.

One continuous shot is the way to go. It’s the best way to show that there’s no shenanigans going on.

At the pace we’re getting video submissions at this point I’ll take some cheating ones! 🙂

  5. We have a winner!

Only two submissions to TG for this competition (mine is still open in adjudication but it’s a mere 10% of Jon’s score). Kind of a bummer. But thanks to Doug Polka for helping me make a TWD session possible! Had he not been available and willing to help there would have been ZERO submissions to this competition.

Thanks to IFPA for making this possible! I’d like to help champion this relationship between TG and IFPA in regards to making pinball adjudication possible at TG so if anyone wants to further the conversation on this I’d love to chat with you!

  6. Ah I’m not officially stating anything on behalf of IFPA. I’ll let them handle all announcement on this. Just wanted to draw attention to the TG scoreboard having an official high score on it.
